Enjoying near perfect race conditions, Marcel Zamora Perez and Tine Deckers both set course records in winning Ironman France today. For Spaniard Zamora Perez it was his fourth straight win in Nice, while Deckers became the first Belgian woman to claim an Ironman title.

The third edition of the Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa is set for Sunday, 17 January 2010 and once again East London will host this exciting event. We have had a number of athletes waiting with baited breath for a chance to sign up. Registration - for both individuals and teams - has opened and we will be accepting entries up to midnight on the 8th November 2009.
Triangle South Africa, organizers of the Ironman events, have set a limit of 1800 entrants for the 2010 Spec-Savers Ironman South Africa which will be held for the sixth time in Port Elizabeth on the 25th April.
After an exciting day of racing Chris McCormack wins in 3:54:15, moments ahead of Marino Vanhoenacker at the 3rd Austria IRONMAN 70.3 in St. Pölten. Sandra Wallenhorst wins the women’s race in 4:28:46.
The Austria IRONMAN 70.3 had an impressive list of PRO’s on the starting line, which included names like McCormack, Vanhoenacker and Wallenhorst. The number of entrants had quadruple in its third year and the race was set to fulfil everybody’s expectations of an all out day of extreme racing.
